As Nigerians join fellow Muslims across the globe in celebrating 2022 Eid-el-Kabir, the feast of sacrifice, the Founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) DAKA Foundation, Dr kazeem Adesina Abidikugu has admonished Muslims in Oyo state and Nigeria at large to continue to imbibe the spirit of love, peace, kindness and sacrifice, as exemplified by the Holy Prophet Muhammad.
He stated this in his Sallah message while felicitating with Muslims, the Governor of Oyo State, Engineer Seyi Makinde, the deputy national Chairman of People Democratic Party (PDP), South, Ambassador Taofeek Arapaja, other party leaders in Ibadan South East/North East Federal Constituency, Oyo state and the country at large on this year’s Eid-el-Kabir celebration.
In his Sallah message, he called on Muslims to continue to pray, be patience, and understanding towards peace and development of the state and the country, as well to imbibe the spirit of love, peace, kindness and sacrifice, as exemplified by the Holy Prophet Muhammad.
Abidiguku, a Nigerian United Kingdom (UK) based medical consultant stated that the country is passing through one of the most trying moments, urging Nigerians to renew their faith in God.
He further urged Muslims to preach peace and imbibe the virtues of Prophet Mohammed whose sacrificial and obedient life is the reason for the celebration.
According to him, “Eid-el-Kabir teaches and reminds us of the meaning of sacrifice, love and tolerance, in our relationships with one another.
“Let us look beyond the merriment and seize the opportunity of this festival to intensify prayers for our state and the country at large.
“By acknowledging the supremacy of God, demonstrating genuine love and respect for one another and commitment to peaceful co-existence, we can collectively confront our challenges as a nation and build a truly peaceful and prosperous country.
“It is only through love for one another and commitment to peace, security and stability that the country can progress towards the fulfilment of its great potentials as a nation.
