A notable Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, (APC) in Oyo state, Engineer Muftau Open Salawu has urged the members of the party in Ogbomoso zone to remain calm and look forward to the genuine reconciliation by the committee saddled with the responsibility.
He added that the progressive members don’t leave their party saying it is an ideology and principle they believe in.
Open Salawu while reacting to the recent developments in Ogbomoso zone made the call in a statement made available to insideoyo.com on Saturday.
Insideoyo.com recalls that the immediate past secretary of Ogbomoso North local government, Akinwale Akinwole popularly knows as Wolekanle dumped the APC and joined the PDP. ”
He said: “Good riddance to bad rubbish. Progressive don’t leave their party. It is an ideology and principle that we believe in and we live by it. We don’t feel threat in any circumstances because we are always in control of the situation.
“It’s quite unfortunate that in our midst we have some few fair weather participants and it’s very easy for such elements to exhibit their creeds.
“I want every member of APC in Oyo State to remainin calm and look forward to the genuine reconciliation by the committee saddled with the responsibility.”
