Alhaji Isiaka Alimi, who won the state congress conducted by the Unity Forum faction of the party, has been announced as the Chairman of APC splinter group in the state, www.insideoyo.com gathered.
According to the list seen by Insideoyo,com, Dr Fatai Atanda was also announced as its National Secretary.
Isiaka Alimi hails from Akinyele local government while Atanda, who was a former commissioner hails from Iseyin Local Government Area of the state.
The splinter group emerged from the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) as the aggrieved members of the new Peoples Democratic Party (nPDP) bloc of the party on Wednesday declared self as Reformed All Progressives Congress ( R-APC).
A former ally of President Muhammadu Buhari, Alhaji Buba Galadima, who heads the new group, announced its formation at a press conference in Abuja on Wednesday.
Leader of the nPDP, Alhaji Kawu Baraje was present at the press conference where the announcement was made.
Announcing the formation of R-APC, Galadima said that the local and state congresses as well as the national convention of the APC were undemocratic .
