As Muslims all over the world commence the Ramadan fasting, the 2019 Governorship candidate of All Progressives Congress in Oyo state, Chief Adebayo Adelabu has enjoined them all to pray for the country to overcome the current health challenges confronting the world.
Oloye Adelabu made this known through one of his Media Aides, Comrade Femi Awogboro on Saturday.
He stressed that as we observe the mandated fasting period, Muslims should engage more in prayers, alms giving and constant reading and understanding of the Holy Quran.
“This will move us closer to the Almighty Allah, the most beneficent and the most merciful.
“This year’s Ramadan fasting is to be observed in the most unusual circumstances and we should use the opportunity to call for His divine intervention to combat this global pandemic threatening our very existence.” he said.
The Ibadan born philanthropist also appealed to well meaning Nigerians to remember the needy at this critical period, by extending gifts in form of cash and food items to facilitate their observance of Ramadan fasting.
Oloye Bayo Adelabu also prayed to the Amighty Allah to accept the fasting as an act of Ibadah and rescue the world from the continued spread of Covid-19 pandemic.
