The All Progressives Congress (APC) North America Chapter has appealed to Nigerians to exercise caution and engage in dialogue with the government to address the country’s economic challenges, rather than resorting to protests that could exacerbate the situation.
In a communique signed by Chairman Olalelekan Sanni and Secretary Adeniyi Adekola, the party chapter warned that protests could play into the hands of those seeking to destroy the country, leading to more chaos and destruction.
Instead, the APC North America Chapter urged Nigerians to engage in self-reflection, take responsibility for past mistakes, and work towards building a new, prosperous Nigeria based on empathy, honesty, and integrity.
The party acknowledged the dire consequences of past administrations’ failures, including abject poverty, senseless killings, and hopelessness, but emphasized that protests are not the solution.
“We must reject the temptation to indulge in destructive tendencies and instead work towards creating a society built on empathy, honesty, and integrity,” the communique stated.
The APC North America Chapter emphasized that Nigeria’s future depends on individual and collective efforts towards positive change, and urged Nigerians to say no to protests and yes to self-reflection, personal growth, and collective transformation.
