Prince Olaide Muhammed of All Progressive Congress, APC, in Irepo, Oorelope and Olorunsogo federal constituency Oyo state has stated that the party held its primary election in the federal constituency as required and stated by the electoral act.
The APC candidate for the federal constituency said this during a chat with journalists at Kisi on Wednesday.
He said that the election was monitored by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), security agencies, APC leaders and Members among other relevant stakeholders in the federal constituency.
He added that, the primary held on the 27th of May 2022 at Igbeti viewing centre, where accreditation started by 2:00pm and lasted for three hours on the same day.
Prince Olaide Muhammed said the voting exercise commenced by 5:00pm which took not less than one and half hours, where he was decleard winner immediately after the primary election.
He urged the good people of Irepo Orelope Olorunsigo not to be distracted by the claim of an aspirant who according to him has failed the people of the constituency.
He said: “The conscience of our people is not for sale. The party remains strong in the federal constituency and victory is certain in the general election come 2023.”
