One of the younger brothers of Governor Abiola Ajimobi, Teslim Ajimobi, was today arrested by the anti-kidnapping unit of the Nigeria Police Force for alleged kidnapping.
Sources who confided in insideoyo.com said that Teslim was arrested following a petition from a popular Ibadan-based Hausa man, Danladi, who deals in automobile in Sabo area of Ibadan.
Teslim, who is the current caretaker chairman of Ibadan South East local government, was released after six hours in the anti-kidnapping cell.
Teslim, it was learnt, was in the habit of ‘harassing’ Danladi whenever he sees him. Danladi is said to be a friend to another younger brother of the governor, Wasiu, who is the Mogaji of the family.
Sources told insideoyo.com that Teslim is not happy with the ‘relationship’ between Wasiu and Danladi that has led to ‘juicy things’.
The arrest, insideoyo.com gathered, was made following a ‘threat’ allegedly made by Teslim that he was going to ‘deal’ with Danladi.
“He was fond of telling Danladi that he cannot watch why an Hausa man enjoys in his ‘backyard’. Not safe anymore, Danladi informed the Police and he was arrested afterward,” the source told insideoyo.com.
Insideoyo.com however made efforts to confirm the story from the duo. Danladi did not deny the story but said he could not make further comment as he would prefer to speak with our reporter ‘physically’.
Teslim however did not pick the several calls made to his mobile number. He has not replied the text sent to him as at the time of filing this report.
