Oyo State governor, Engr Seyi Makinde has been appointed as the Chairman of Bayelsa gubernatorial screening committee of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP.
Makinde is the only governor under the umbrella of People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the southwest.
“As Chairman of the Bayelsa State Governorship Screening Committee 2019, I spoke on behalf of all members of the committee to thank our party leadership for giving us the opportunity to serve the party in this capacity.
“We promised to discharge our duties diligently.” He said in a tweet.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has fixed governorship election in Bayelsa state for November 16, 2019.
Ahead of the governorship election in Bayelsa State, more than 10 PDP aspirants are jostling to replace Governor Seriake Dickson in the state.
