The Oyo state governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde on Tuesday inaugurated the Oyo State House of Assembly Commission in Ibadan, the state capital.
This was made known in a post on the official twitter account of the governor.
The governor charged members of the commission to carry out their tasks diligently.
It read “This morning, I inaugurated the Oyo State House of Assembly Service Commission.
“The Commission is responsible for dealing with the personnel requirements of the Oyo State House of Assembly.
“I congratulated the new members and urged them to carry out their tasks diligently.”
Insideoyo.com recalls that four members of the commission were screened and confirmed the Oyo state House of Assembly recently.
The four nominees are former immediate Deputy Speaker, Oyo Assembly Hon Abdul Wasii Musah as Chairman, Hon Ojoawo Moses Adewuyi – full time member, Alabanla Adekunle Iyanda – part time member and Hon Ogundoke Hassan as part time member.
The last nominee, a woman, Mrs Yinyinade Ladoye who is a full time member was however absent at the screening having sent a letter requesting for a deferment of her screening due to her poor state of health.
