Oloye Akin Alabi, member House of Representatives, (APC) representing Egbeda/Ona Ara federal constituency in Oyo State on Wednesday officially kicked off theN250 Million community outreach programme to assist widows and indigent women in his constituency.
Hon. Alabi said the massive investments in local women is to enable them to support their families and create other jobs and opportunities in their communities.
He stated this at the flag off of the programme at Dee4 event centre, Isebo, Ibadan.
While commenting on the scheme, Oloye as he is fondly called, said, “it is time we embark on massive investments in our local women to enable them to support their families and create other jobs and opportunities in their communities.”

He said the scheme will create a database for small businesses in Egbeda and Ona Ara to help these businesses to network with each other and also access more financial grants.
InsideOyo.com understands that the beneficiaries were carefully selected from different wards and communities within Egbeda and Ona Ara.
The small scale traders will not only receive cash grants, they will also get training on credit management, financial inclusion and marketing.
It is expected that the N250 million Women Empowerment Scheme will hold as a quarterly constituency outreach programme.
