Deputy-governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, Oloye Adebayo Adelabu is to build a school governing board building for his alma-mater- Lagelu Grammar School, Agugu, Ibadan.
The building will house administrative office of the School, SGB Office and an Alumni Centre.
The project, according to Adelabu, who chairs the school governing board, SGB, will be completed within three months, in April 2018.
Sources disclosed to insideoyo.com that the bill of quantity for the project is between N50 and N75 million.
A statement by Wale Adeoye who is the Secretary of the Diamond Anniversary Committee of the school revealed that the foundation laying ceremony for the proposed building is to be performed on Saturday, 27 January, 2018 during the School’s 60th anniversary.
Saying that the vision to have a new Lagelu Grammar School, Ibadan has received another boost, Adeoye quoted Adelabu, who is believed to be eyeing Oyo governorship seat, as saying that “the time to give back to the School is now and we must play our part. I am donating the building as my own token as the Chairman, School Governing Board.”
