As the suit challenging the candidacy of the People’s Democratic Party’s governorship candidate resumed, two members of executive of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) on Thursday testified in favor of Senator Ayoade Adeseun against the Peoples Democratic Party’s Engineer Seyi Makinde at a state high court in Ibadan.
The case of the complainant which saw about fourteen witnesses was brought to an end on Thursday and the defense to begin on next week Tuesday.
The state secretary of ADC, Wasiu Emiola who was a witness in support of the complainant case, told the court that his name was removed from PDP’s excos list after he had contested and won as state secretary of the party at the state Congress in November, 2017.
Emiola said “In November 2017, I participated and contested at the state Congress at watershed as the state secretary and I won.
“As at today, I haven’t been served any letter to inform my removal.
“My name was removed through an advert placed in Tribune on Saturday 9th of June, 2018.
“I got to know of my removal through advert.
Another witness who is currently the Oyo state senatorial chairman of ADC, Abiodun Adedoja said he was also elected at the state Congress as the state financial secretary of PDP before suffering the same faith as Emiola.
Adedoja who joined ADC two months ago, claimed that he was not aware of any inauguration by the National working committee of PDP.
The cousel to the complainant, Michael Lana told our correspondent that all the complainant’s witnesses have been presented.
Lana said “we’ve been able to call fourteen or so witnesses to testify to show that the delegates list that was used to conduct the primary elections were doctored.
“We concluded our case, so it’s now for them to open their defense.
