The realignment of old members of the Oyo State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, seems to be causing more harms than good to the party.
This is just as another former member of the Oyo State of Assembly, Hon. Ayobami Ojo is set to defect to the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC.
The Ago-Are-born hotelier, who owns Joybam Hotels and Event Centre, Ibadan, is defecting with his kinsman, a former Secretary to ATISBO local government, Alhaji Bashir Olumuyiwa Alade and their supporters.
In an exclusive chat with insideoyo.com, Ojo, who represented ATISBO/Saki East state constituency between 2011 and 2015, said he was tired of the PDP, adding that “I want to join hands with people of likeminds to move Oyo State forward and support the vision of Governor Abiola Ajimobi.”
Not long ago, a two-term former member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Tajudeen Kareem, a former member of the Oyo Assembly, Hon. Rafiu Adekunle as well as a former council chairman of ATISBO LG, Hon. Ayoola Makanjuola and others declared their support for APC.
