The Alageere of Ago-Are, Oba Azeez Uthman Oyetunde Odunaye II JP, has expressed his profound gratitude to Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State for approving the construction of a permanent site for the Nigeria Mobile Police Squadron located in Ago-Are, Oke Ogun zone.
The traditional ruler commended Governor Makinde for his commitment to enhancing security in the region, stating that the establishment of the police squadron base will bring peace and stability to the people of Ago-Are and surrounding communities.
He made this known in a statement made available to news men on Friday, in Ago Are, ATISBO local government area of Oyo state.
“I want to thank Governor Seyi Makinde for keeping his promise to our people. This project will boost security and economic development in our area,” Oba Odunaye said.
The construction of the police squadron base is part of Governor Makinde’s efforts to strengthen security in Oyo State, particularly in the Oke Ogun region.
The Alageere of Ago-Are also urged citizens to support the government in maintaining peace and order in the community, saying that the police squadron base will work closely with local leaders to ensure the safety of lives and property.
He also prayed for the Governor’s long life and success, saying “May Allah grant you long life and guide you in all your endeavors. Ameen.”
The construction of the police squadron base is expected to be completed soon, and it will be equipped with modern facilities to enhance the operational capacity of the mobile police force.
