The Oyo South Senatorial District Candidate of People Democratic Party, Mogaji Joseph Olasunkanmi Tegbe met with Mogajis of Ibadanland to seek their support in the forthcoming election.
Tegbe while discussing with the Mogajis of Ibadanland stressed on the importance of traditional chiefs to grassroot development which in turn develops the society.
He specifically noted that the best way to develop our community from the grassroot is to work in hand with the traditional chiefs.
Tegbe promised to synergies with the Ibadan Mogajis if he emerges as the Senator of Oyo South.
He emphatically stated that as Mogaji himself, he understands the huge role the traditional chiefs holds in the society, hence, the need to work with them to further understand the core needs of the people and this he will facilitate through his town hall meetings he will hold every 3months.
He emphasized that traditional chiefs like Mogajis is the best medium to reach the rural and grassroots communities and a good connection with them will allow and encourage a proper flow of dividend of democracy for his district.
The meeting was attended by 125 Mogajis of Ibadanland which includes the President of Association of Mogajis of Ibadanland, Mogaji Ariori Olorisapetu, the association Secretary, Mogaji Odugade and many others.
The President of the association, Mogaji Ariori Olorisapetu acknowledged that they are happy to receive Tegbe in their midst and it gladdens their heart that he is one of them, he added that Tegbe’s reputation precedes him and he, Tegbe has done greatly well to the society.
Also, the secretary of the association, Mogaji Odugade also said he is confident that Tegbe will do well and every other Mogaji that spoke, Mogaji Arowotosuna, Mogaji Itabigbo and Mogaji Osho also heaped praises on Tegbe and they all wish him well in the forthcoming election.
