A Member of the House of Representatives, representing Akinyele/Lagelu federal constituency, Oyo State, Hon. Olafisoye Akinmoyede Wasiu has concluded arrangements to empower over 2000 of his constituents on Tuesday 30th April, 2024.
Hon. Olafisoye popularly known as “Lafi” in a release he made available to journalists disclosed that the economic Empowerment Programme will come up at Faith Joe Civic Center, beside Community High school, Alegongo, Ibadan commencing by 9a.m. prompt.
The Federal Lawmaker who is the Chairman House Committee on Nigeria/Mexico Parliamentary Friendship disclosed that the empowerment programme is aimed at ameliorating the hardship people are facing in his constituency as a result of the fuel subsidy removed by the federal government last year.
Hon. Lafi stressed that the beneficiaries of the economic empowerment are drawn from Akinyele/Lagelu Federal Constituency with a view to contributing meaningfully to their standard of livings and most importantly to end hardship and starvation in their livelihood.
Those expected at the occasion are the Chairman APC in Oyo State, Barr. Issac Ajiboye Omodewu and members of the state working committee, traditional and religious leaders in Akinyele/Lagelu federal constituency, market men and women, artisans, security agencies and APC members in the said federal constituency.
