The Resident Electoral Officer, INEC, Oyo State, Barr Mutiu Agboke has been commended for his resilience in ensuring a credible, free and fair election in the last general election in the state.
In presenting the award of Credibility, Comrade Kehinde Akinyemi CEO /Mediator In chief described Barr Agboke as a courageous and determined man who amidst all stood for his integrity in ensuring a free, fair and credible election in Oyo state during the 2019 election.
In his remarks, the REC Barr Mutiu Agboke appreciated the leaders of the Centre for deeming it fit to recognize him with the award of excellence. He stated that the last election turned out outstanding especially as the elitists trooped out to performed their civic responsibility better than time past.
Agboke did not fail to highlight problems faced during and after the elections ranging from logistics, Misinformation as well as the 32 election petitions across board. He however promised to work on these lapses.
He further restated the commitment of INEC to credible elections in times to come and begged for more trust of the people in the commission.
