National Union of Road Transport workers Oyo State under the agies of Branch Chairmen and Branch Secretaries has reportedly picked Alhaji Waheed Adeoyo as the next state Chairman in Oyo State to succeed the acting chairman in Oyo state popularly called Ejiogbe.
This was the resolution at a meeting of Branch Chairmen of Motor Park and Secretaries in the State held at an hotel in Ibadan, sources told InsideOyo.com on Wednesday.
Alhaji Waheed Adeoyo while addressing the Branch Chairmen and Secretaries said he is among the most qualified for the position having been driving and acquired his first driving license in 1977 and as a former Branch Chairman of Ibadan North East II inter state.
He said if he eventually emerged as the state chairman of the union in Oyo State he is going to work in line with the directive of the governor elect Engr. Seyi Makinde and the National Headquqters led by Alh.Najeem Yasin.
He also promised to tackle the issue of thuggery and hooliganism.
