As part of his efforts to rally support for the re-election bid of Governor Seyi Makinde and boost the chances of the candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP for Ogo-Oluwa/Surulere State Constituency, Oyo Assembly member, Hon Simeon Adegbola Oyeleke has empowered constituents and party faithful in his constituency.
The beneficiaries consisting of farmers, women, youths, widows and self-employed people received Sewing Machines, Generating Sets, Grinding Machines, and Farm Sprayers at the ceremony.
Hon Oyeleke said the empowerment program was the latest in the series of his constituency activities aimed at mobilizing the teeming residents of Ogo-Oluwa and Surulere to vote for Governor Seyi Makinde and Hon Abideen Adeoye who is the PDP candidate for Ogo-Oluwa/Surulere State Constituency seat in the forthcoming March 18, 2023 Governorship and House of Assembly elections.
He recalled his other constituency programs to include facilitation through SUBERB of perimeter fencing of Baptist Pry Sch Ajaawa, a block of 3 Classrooms at AUD Pry Sch Iwo Ate and renovation of a block of 2 classrooms at Methodist Pry Sch, Odo-Oba.
On lack of portable water and particularly the crisis which often erupted between the villagers and the fulanis over the available rivers and streams, Hon Oyeleke facilitated water borehole at AUD Primary School, Iwo-Ate, while also providing boreholes at Olo-Omoba, Lagbedu and Orile-Igbon.
He also rehabilitated another 18 faulty boreholes across the 20 Wards in his constituency and provided each of them with Generating Sets.
“This is another campaign promise fulfilled by me and it is specially put together to woo the teeming residents of Ogo-Oluwa/Surulere to cast their votes for Governor Seyi Makinde and our candidate for the State House of Assembly,Hon Abideen Adeoye. I am working with other party faithful to ensure a resounding victory for our party in the election and so shall it be. To this end, I want to appeal that we all come out en-masse to vote for the continuity of good governance in Oyo State, ” Hon Oyeleke said .
