Member representing Ogo-Oluwa/Surulere, Hon Simeon Adegbola Oyeleke has described the death of former Governor of Oyo State, Otunba Adebayo Alao Akala as a big loss to the state at large.
Those were the words of Hon Adegbola Oyeleke in a condolence message issued in Ogbomoso on the demise of the former Governor.
” When we talk of a political leader who is well respected and readily accepted, we are talking of the former Governor, Alao Akala. Oyo State has lost a Political leader per-excellence and the vacuum is huge and may be difficult to fill. But who are we to question or query God.”
According to Hon Adegbola Oyeleke, Ogbomosoland lost not less than two prominent and illustrious sons in a day.
He said that Otunba Adebayo Alao Akala and Prof.Alex Gboyega died the same day.
” May God rest their souls and grant us the fortitude to bear their departure.”
He said Oyo APC has lost a rallying figure and a personality with vast leadership experience.
” We are the most pained by the death of our leader, Otunba Alao Akala. As a member of the APC, the late former Governor had been trying to bring all the stakeholders together ahead of the 2023 General Election. ”
According to Hon Adegbola Oyeleke, no one would ever think Otunba Alao Akala would not be alive to witness the 2023 Election.
The Ogo-Oluwa/Surulere Lawmaker prayed God to uphold the family he left behind, the people of Ogbomoso and the entire residents of Oyo State.
“Akala played his part well as a one time Local Government Chairman, former Deputy Governor and above all former Oyo State Governor. He will be sorely missed.” Hon Adegbola Oyeleke said.
