Fulfilling his promise to serve his people, the lawmaker representing Ibadan South West Constituency II at the Oyo state House of Assembly, Hon. Oluwafemi Oluwafowokanmi celebrated his 100 days in office by launching a foundation and a constituency office.
Fowokanmi who doubles as the Chairman House Committee on Education revealed this during the unveiling of the project on Tuesday in Ibadan.
Tagged “Honourable Oluwafowokanmi Betterlife Foundation”, the team are saddled with the responsibility to restore and rebirth public primary schools across the state.
Hon. Fowokanmi noted that the foundation will also provide a pro – bono – legal aids for less privileged citizens, free educational consultancy service, and quarterly skill acquisition empowerment.
According to him, over 2000 people will also be provided with a small scale loan to boost business while strengthening the security system with inter-community gate.
Speaking about his achievement so far, Fowokanmi noted that he has been able to fix a road at Oluyole Estate, renovate the Oluyole IMG School, Molete Ibadan.
He added that the constituency office situated opposite Ibadan Boys High School, Oke Bola, Ibadan will be actively functional.
He said, “The office will be functional, whether you meet the honourable or not, you will be attended to, and there won’t be any kind of bias, as benefits will be available for the entire people we are representing, not limited to party members only.”
Speaking about Oyo state government, the Ibadan South West lawmaker maintained that Oyo state under the leadership of Engr. Seyi Makinde with support from the state lawmakers is moving forward and working perfectly for the benefit of the state adding that the government is ready to give the education a new face.
