An indigene of Oyo State and director in the Federal Ministry of Transportation, Mufutau Bukola, has been cleared alongside 19 other directors drawn from different Ministries, Departments and Agencies(MDAs) by the anti-graft agencies to take part in the process leading to the appointment of a substantive Accountant-General of the Federation (AGF).
This was contained in a statement issued by the Office of the Head of Civil Service of the Federation (OHCSF), on Sunday.
Following the clearance, the 20 directors have been advised to proceed with accreditation which will lead to a series of examinations that will commence on January 23, 2023.
The accreditation, which starts on Monday, January 9, 2023, will end on Wednesday, January 11,2023.
According to the statement, the shortlisted directors will take part in the first stage of the examination which is a written exercise on relevant Public Service and Policy Issues on January 23, 2023.
“Successful candidates shortlisted from the first stage will participate in the second stage, which is an Information and Communication Technology Proficiency Test in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Applications, on January 25, 2023.
“Those shortlisted from the second stage will then proceed to the third stage, an oral interview/interactive session with a broad-based panel of experts and practitioners, slated for January 27, 2023,” it said.
The shortlisted candidates include Danladi Comfort, Gombe (Interior); Mohammed Yar’Abba, Sokoto (Fire Service); Mufutau Bukola, Oyo (Transportation); Mahmud Kambari, Borno (North East Development Commission); Mohammed Dojo, Gombe (Interior); and Waziri Samuel, Borno (Agriculture and Rural Development).
Others are Maiden Sakirat, Ogun (OHCSF); Adaramoye Oluwole, Ekiti (Humanitarian Affairs); Isa Abubakar, Yobe (Science, Technology and Innovation); Ogunsemowo Olakunle, Ogun (Environment); Egbokhale Charity, Edo (NFF); Ibrahim Jibo, Kano (National Boundary Commission); Ogbodo Nnam, Enugu (National Salaries, Income and Wages Commission); Bakare Juliannah, Ekiti (NPF).
The vacancy followed the arrest of former AGF, Ahmed Idris, in July 2022, by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for misappropriating N109 billion and his subsequent suspension and prosecution.
