Multi Pro Limited, makers of Hypo disinfectant, partnered the Oyo State government in a bid to imbibe cleanliness and hygiene in the state.
The project themed โTeam up to Clean upโ is to sensitise the people on the need to maintain environmental hygiene so as to prevent disease-ridden environments.
The cleaning exercise was carried at Darlington Street, Mokola Ibadan, Oyo State.
The brand manager of Hypo, Jadesola Surakat, revealed that beyond the use of Hypo for clothes, it can also serve as a disinfectant, which could help prevent breeding of insects and kill diseases causing organisms.
โCleaning is not a choice; it is an essential for anybody that wants to stay healthy. If we have a cleaner environment, there is a good chance that most of the avoidable diseases tormenting us like malaria, typhoid, dysentery, ebola would be far away.
โIt doesnโt end here; we intend to sustain this practice in Oyo State. Itโs important to stress that hypo isnโt just a bleaching agent for white cloths, it is also a disinfectant that can be used to sterilise and eliminate disease causing organisms in our surrounding and that is why we have come to this community to promote hygiene,โ
Representative of the Ministry of Environment, Oyerinde Emiola, lauded the initiative from Hypo, stating that the Oyo State government has been doing everything possible towards a disease-free environment.
