African Students Union Parliament comprising students from 54 member countries in Africa have conferred Pan African Awards of Excellence on the provost of Oyo state College of Health Science and Technology, Eleyele-Ibadan, Sanitarian Siji Ganiyu for his outstanding administration qualities.
Speaking at an epoch making event held at the office of the college provost, Eleyele-Ibadan, the spokesman from the student’s delegates, Comrade David Christopher from the University of Ilorin described Sanitarian Siji Ganiyu as a role model, man of impeccable character and a man of sterling leadership qualities who had impacted positively on Nigerian youths and african citizens as a whole.
Comrade Christopher said Sanitarian Siji Ganiyu was chosen for Pan African Leadership Award because of his track record in administration, unquestionable leadership attributes and unquantifiable role he had played in middle-level health care delivery.
In their respective remarks at the event, the duo of the College Librarian, Mr Akinsoji and the Head of Department, Pharmacy Technician who doubles as the Deputy Provost, Mrs O.M Oyewo described the provost as a visionary leader per excellence.
They said the college had witnessed steady progress and development since the assumption of office by Sanitarian Siji Ganiyu, the incumbent provost of the college.
While Responding, the College Provost, Sanitarian Siji Ganiyu commended the Oyo state Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde for the support of his administration to the institution saying the Pan African Leadership Award of Excellence is dedicated of Oyo state Governor who provided enabling and friendly environment for learning and the college which management and students solidly cooperate and support him to attain enviable leadership height.
The provost unequivocally promised to do better in service delivery for the college commending the management, staff and students of the college for their support.
It would be recalled that just recently another Merit award was bestowed on the same provost, Sanitarian Siji Ganiyu by Tapa Progressive Union following the approval of his Royal Majesty, Oba Titiloye Oyekanmi, the Elempe Tapa to appreciate him for his contribution to the development of Tapa Town.
Oba Titiloye Oyekanmi described Sanitarian Siji Ganiyu as an illustrious son of Tapa whose contribution got no rival calling on other indigenes to come home and develop their source as he commended the provost for living up to standard as for being a pride of Tapa kingdom in Ibarapa area of Oyo state.
