Oyo state Governorship hopeful, Olaoluwa Peter Abidemi, popularly called OPA, has condoled with Governor Seyi Makinde over the death of his elder brother, Engineer Sunday Makinde.
Olaoluwa, in a statement on Friday through his media office in Ibadan described the news of the passing of the Governor’s brother as shocking and sad.
Engineer Makinde died in the early hours of Friday, January 24, at the age of 65 years.
OPA said the loss is not just painful only to the Makinde’s family but Oyo state as a whole.
He urged Governor Makinde and the entire members of the family to take solace knowing that Almighty God giveth and taketh.
He described the deceased as a good man who lived in the service of God and humanity and was a shining example to others.
Olaoluwa added that the good works of the deceased would always be remembered even in years to come.
“Let me extend my condolences to my dear brother and Oyo state, Governor Seyi Makinde, on the death of his elder brother, Engineer Sunday Makinde.
“I prayed that Almighty God will repose his soul and grant Governor Makinde and the entire family the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss.”
