Oyo State government has made move for the establishment of Oyo State Institute of Information Communication Technology and Entrepreneurship Studies, insideoyo.com reports.
The State House of Assembly on Thursday read for the second time, the bill to establish the institution.
The bill is to develop and offer specialized academic and professional programmes in information technology, communication technology, computer science, satellite systems, entrepreneurship development and training.
According to the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin the institute will identify ICT, entrepreneurship challenges of the state and proffer appropriate solutions through its training programmes.
The bill was therefore handed over to appropriate house committees for scrutiny, to ensure every necessary areas are perfected to the efficiency of the proposed institute.
