the Oyo State Governor, Engr. Oluseyi Makinde, has assured 2019 Batch B Stream 1 Corps members deployed to the state a conducive and secured environment during and after their orientation exercise.
The Governor gave the assurance today at the Official Swearing- In Ceremony of Corps Members deployed to the State, at the Permanent Orientation Camp, Ogbakuta, in Iseyin.
Speaking through the State Deputy Governor, Engr. Rauf Olaniyan, he said having aware of the security challenges in the country, his government will do everything possible to secure lives and property most especially the corps members deployed to the state, adding that adequate and necessary security will be put in place to check mate any breakdown of law and order.
Governor Makinde, pledged that his administration will invest greatly in youths as youths are the future of the country, stressing that welfarism of corp members will be of up most priority.
He therefore enjoined them to integrate and embrace culture of the land.
Assuring them of hospitality from people of the State, the Chairman, State National Youth Service Corp NYSC and Acting Permanent Secretary, Youth and Sports, Mrs Bisi Adegoke enjoined Batch B Corps members to tap from the natural instinct in the State.
Earlier in her address, the State NYSC Coordinator, Mrs. Eniola Ambekemo, revealed that 2,390 Corps members registered for 2019 Batch B Stream 1 to serve their father’s land in Pace Setter.
She pointed out that the service was a platform for the young energetic graduates to exhibits their intellect and skills in developing their nation and to instill their leadership qualities and discipline.
The State Coordinator however enjoined them to embrace Skill Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development (SAED) Programme having in mind that there is alarming rate of unemployment among graduate Youths.
