A leading governorship hopeful in Oyo come 2027, Olaoluwa Peter Abidemi popularly called OPA donated cash gifts to students of St Anne’s Comprehensive College, Ibadan
The donation, which was at the prize giving day and valedictory service for year 2023/2024 academic session, was held at the school hall,Ibadan.
Olaoluwa, who is the President, Peter Olaoluwa Foundation (POF) was represented at the event by one of his aides, Mrs Lizzy Omokanye, said it is important for privileged individuals, groups, and non-governmental organisations to assist government at all levels.
He said infrastructure development of the education sector can not be left in the hands of government alone, hence the need for everyone to support the government.
Olaoluwa stated that the foundation, Peter Olaoluwa Foundation (POF) is poised to bring joy to the people across Oyo State.
OPA added that the cash donation was to encourage the students of the college to pay more attention to their studies so they can become a great citizen in the future.
Olaoluwa commended the management and staff of the school for their dedication to the students and assured that he would always be available to be counted in stretching his hand of fellowship to the school.
He commended the Anglican Church for its efforts in establishing the school and its determination to uplift the standard of education in Oyo State.
During the graduation ceremony, cash presentations were given to thirty-five students of the college who distinguished themselves in various subjects.
Earlier, some of the parents at the event appreciated the gesture of POF and it’s President, Olaoluwa Peter Abidemi, for his unusual generosity.
The event featured drama presentation, newscast from press club, dancing and singing in different languages, debate and presentation of gifts to the deserving students and pupils respectively.
