The Director-General of the Gaming and Lottery Board of Oyo, Mr Olajide Boladuro, has extended warm felicitations to Governor Seyi Makinde on the occasion of his birthday, lauding him as an exemplary leader of unyielding dedication and visionary prowess.
This commendation underscores Governor Makinde’s transformative impact on Oyo State, marked by significant strides in education, healthcare, infrastructure, and economic development.
Boalduro noted that Governor Makinde’s tenure has been characterised by the rehabilitation and construction of over 500 km of roads, enhancing connectivity and economic activities.
He also stated his focus on education is evident in the recruitment of 5,000 teachers and 692 education officers, as well as the construction of 60 model schools. In healthcare, notable achievements include the recruitment of 533 medical staff, procurement of ambulances, and increased health insurance coverage from 45,000 to 300,000 beneficiaries.
Boladuro highlighted that Governor Makinde’s commitment to youth empowerment, which includes the training of 3,300 youths under the Youth Entrepreneurship in Agribusiness Project (YEAP) and the attraction of over N35 billion in agribusiness investments.
He submitted that Makinde’s leadership has steered improvements, development and security architecture of Oyo state with the establishment of the Oyo State Security Network Agency (Amotekun Corps) and the operationalisation of the 615 Emergency Security Number.
