Former Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters in Oyo state, Mr Bimbo Kolade has secured an appointment with the Federal government.
Mega Icon reports that the ex- commissioner would be representing Oyo state at the Federal Character Commission (FCC) for the next five years.
Confirming the news, one of his aides who does not want his name mentioned told insideoyo.com in a telephone conversation that the appointment is waiting for the approval of necessary bodies before the official announcement.
Recall that Bimbo Kolade was one of the Oyo central senatorial aspirants of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC. He alongside Temitope Olatoye Sugar and others were asked to step down for former senate leader, Teslim Folarin.
A development which made Olatoye Sugar dumped the party for Action Democratic Party, ADP while Bimbo Kolade remains in the party.
Kolade, who is a kitchen cabinet member and an age long associate of Governor Abiola Ajimobi had also served as the Honourable commissioner in the Ministry of Agriculture, Natural Resources and Rural Development, Ministry of Lands, Housing and Survey and Ministry of Works respectively.
The Fiditi born politician attended the Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) Ile-Ife for his Bachelor’s, degree in Building, while he also obtained a Master degree in Housing Development from University of Ibadan. He has also attended various management courses at Lagos Business School.
