The induction of the Oyo State Commissioner for Environment and Natural Resources, Hon. Abdulmojeed Mogbonjubola Olawale, as a fellow of the African Institute of Waste Management and Environmental Studies(AIWMES), has been described as a recognition of commissioner’s visionary commitment to a sustainable waste management towards societal betterment.
The institute said this in a statement made available to the newsmen in Ibadan on Monday.
The statement described Hon. Mogbonjuba as a dedicated and seasoned strategist with several years of extensive experience traversing the public and private sectors.
According to the statement, “Hon. Mogbonjubola(FAIWMES) is a visionary leader whose significant contributions to sustainable management and environmental services have made a lasting impact on both communities and the environment.
“His deep knowledge, hands-on experience, and commitment to professional development have established him as a thought leader and innovator in sustainable waste management.
“He has also proven himself as a leader who is passionate about sustainable development and nation-building through several initiatives that empower young people and foster organizational growth.
“His involvement in community development, grassroots politics, and sustainable investment management has positioned him as a key figure in advancing environmental stewardship, “it said.
The statement noted that the sound educational and professional background of Hon. Mogbonjuba made him a round peg in a round hole in environmental management in Oyo state.
It described the commissioner as a consummate professional with a passion for growth, investment, environment development and sustainability, who has led numerous transformational projects and facilitated several Initiatives in Oyo state and Nigeria at large.
“After obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree in Architecture from the prestigious Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Nigeria, the commissioner bagged several other professional qualifications in environmental management.
“His dedication to education and societal betterment underscores his role as a champion of environmental and academic excellence, “it said.
