The Oyo State House of Assembly has screened and confirmed the nomination of four out of the five nominees forwarded to it by the Oyo State Governor, Engr Seyi Makinde as members of the Oyo state House of Assembly Service Commission.
They were confirmed during Tuesday’s plenary presided over by the Speaker, Hon Adebo Ogundoyin and witnessed by friends and political associates of the nominees including former Oyo state Speaker,Sen Monsurat Sunmonu .
The four nominees are former immediate Deputy Speaker, Oyo Assembly Hon Abdul Wasii Musah as Chairman, Hon Ojoawo Moses Adewuyi – full time member, Alabanla Adekunle Iyanda – part time member and Hon Ogundoke Hassan as part time member.
The last nominee, a woman, Mrs Yinyinade Ladoye who is a full time member was however absent at the screening having sent a letter requesting for a deferment of her screening due to her poor state of health
The Lawmakers after telling the Chairman of the Commission Hon Abdul Wasii Musah to introduce himself thereafter asked the four nominees in attendance to take a bow and leave.
The Speaker, Hon Adebo Ogundoyin while congratulating the newly appointed members of the commission said the last nominee and the only woman among them will be screened at a later date.
He described the appointees as people of proven integrity who had served in different capacities before their appointment into the Oyo State House of Assembly Service Commission.
The Speaker said he was convinced they will bring their experiences to bear in their new positions and urged them to work in tandem with the vision of Governor Seyi Makinde to develop Oyo state.
