Senator Teslim Folarin has expressed grief over the death of a chieftain of the state All Progressive Congress (APC) in Oyo State, Alhaji Wale Adedibu.
The 2023 governorship candidate of the progressive party expressed his grief in a statement signed by his media aide, Com. YSO Olaniyi in Ibadan on Sunday.
Alhaji Adedibu was reportedly dead at a hospital in Ibadan on Saturday night after a brief illness.
A statement by Senator Folarin read: “I’m shattered after receiving another shocking death news of our party chieftain, Alhaji Wale Adedibu.
“Alhaji Wale is an elderly brother, friend, and political associate, whose positive advices and political acumen would be greatly missed.
“I have no doubt that not just APC but also the political class in the State will dearly miss this seasoned politician and fine gentleman whose contributions to the APC and developmental politics in the State have been invaluable. He was a thoroughbred Ibadan man.
“My condolences to the bereaved family, APC members and good people of Ibadanland.
“May Almighty Allah comfort us and grant him Al-Janatul Firdaus. Amin”
