The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State has felicitated with the Imo State governor, Sen. Hope Uzodinma on the Supreme Court judgement that pronounced him as the authentic governor of the state.
The party also congratulated the people of Imo state for the victory.
In a statement by its Publicity Secretary, Dr. AbdulAzeez Olatunde, Oyo APC saluted the governor-elect and the people of the state for their patience, orderliness and courage while the litigation tussle last.
Oyo APC also congratulated President Muhammadu Buhari; the National Chairman of the partu,Comrade Adams Oshiomole and the entire National Executive Committee of the party the landmark judgement delivered by the Apex Court.
“We also salute the leadership of APC in Imo state for this pyrrhic victory from the Judiciary and for the recovery of our party’s stolen mandate.
“We are at this juncture calling on the latest gov-elect, H.E,Sen Hope Uzodinma to get down to work immediately and leave politicking aside because of the wasted eight months lost to the usurper in power because the honeymoon time would be too short for him.
“Some of the immediate challenges that will urgently require the new gov-elect, H.E,Sen Hope Uzodinma’s attention is the raging issue of #30,000 new minimum wage which is still unresolved for Imo state civil and public servants till the end of temporary governance by the usurper in power.
“Lingering ‘Army’of jobless graduates that deserve to be gainfully employed, next level development program of uninterrupted power supply, good road network, quality and affordable health care and educational services are also pending issues that will need urgent attention.
“On behalf of H.E, Sen Abiola Ajimobi, the leader of APC in Oyo State, Chief Akin Oke, the State Chairman of APC in Oyo State, the entire State Executive of APC in Oyo State and infact all the members of APC in Oyo State, we wish H. E, Sen Hope Uzodinma landmark achievements and performance in Imo state,” the statement said.
