See the communique below:

COMMUNIQUE ISSUED AT THE END OF THE AFRICAN DEMOCRATIC CONGRESS (ADC) OYO STATE EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE MONTHLY STATUTORY MEETING HELD ON TUESDAY, 7TH MAY, 2019, AT OKE-BOLA STATE OFFICE, IBADAN.

The meeting reviewed in its entirety various political developments since the last gubernatorial election in Oyo State.

The meeting expressed its satisfaction with conducts of the members of our great party ADC who during the build up to the coalition arrangement faithfully and devotedly adhered to party’s directives and instructions, their high sense of compliance was in no small measure contributed to the success of the coalition candidate Engr. Seyi Makinde of PDP at the last gubernatorial election in the Oyo State.

The meeting however urged and pleaded with our teeming members to exercise considerable restraint and patience in their lawful expectations; and to equally have firm believe in the coalition arrangement.

The meeting affirmed its believe and confidence in the leadership of the Party being represented by the face of ADC in the coalition arrangement, Senator Olufemi Lanlehin our governorship candidates in the last general elections.

The meeting equally reiterated its confidence in the leadership and elderly wisdom of our revered leaders, elders and father figures Dr. Adebisi Busari, Chief Michael Koleosho, and Chief Layiwola Olakojo; and the leadership of Senator Monsurat Sunmonu, Ambassador Taofeek Arapaja, Hon. Festus Wale Adegoke, Senator Gbenga Babalola and other leaders and party’s candidates of good standing who are faithfully and devotedly committed to the course of ADC in Oyo State.

The meeting acknowledged deep sense of responsible and responsive leadership all these worthy leaders mentioned above who in their unquantified wisdom subscribed to the dictum of UNIT OF COMMAND by endorsing Senator Olufemi Lanlehin as the face of the Party in whatever collation arrangement that involve ADC.

In light of the above the meeting and in support of the decision of all our leaders resolved that all discussions, negotiations on the coalition arrangement should only emanate from the face of the Party, Senator Olufemi Lanlehin only.

The meeting strongly believe in the sincere dispositions of all coalescent Parties involved in the coalition and in their abilities to keep to the spirit and letters of the coalition agreement.

The meeting frowned at the attendance of the party officers at state, local and ward level at the unauthorized meetings organised by individual or group of people, which have semblance of party’ structure; henceforth clearance should be sought from the state secretariat before attending any such of the meetings that has assemblage of State, or senatorial image.

The meeting approved the reports of the joint sitting of the State Executive committee and Local government chairmen on modality to resolve the spate of crisis in some Local government Areas whereby a five man committee was set up to consider and review complaints from those concerned Local government Areas. And the names of the members of the committee are as follows;
Hon. Abiodun Ekolo
Mr. Timothy Adedeji
Mr. Emikunle
Alhaji Muyideen Ogundayo
Chief K.K. Obisesan

The meeting urged our members to desist from group name’s tagging (whether CNM, Unity forum, PDP/ACCORD, LABOUR or OLD ADC), and that no tendency within the Party should be castigated for the sin of the individual within such group or tendency, that only the erring individual no matter where he/she belongs will be sanctioned accordingly.

The meeting felicitates with our Muslim brothers and sisters in this Holy Month of Ramadan, and urge them to use the spacious occasion to pray for the smooth transition from the rejected government to the loved government by the people of Oyo State come 29th of May, 2019.

Signed:

BARR. BIMPE ADELOWO
Acting State Publicity Secretary

ALHAJI EMIOLA WASIU
