Engineer Akinwale Laosun, the Oyo State governorship candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC) has tasked Governor Seyi Makinde to settle down for action and get to work.
He stated this while addressing a press conference in Ibadan during which he congratulated the new government of Engineer Makinde on its inauguration..
The AAC governorship candidate emphasized that “the time to get to work and justify the mandate given the new government is now.,”
“The time for politicking and permutations about the last election is long over and this press conference is AKINWALE OMOLOLU LAOSUN (AOL) SUPPORT GROUP ORGANISATION’s way of calling the new government to that reality before the frenzy of ‘Government in power’ consumes her,”NewNigeriannewspaper quote him as saying.
Speaking on the need to sustain adequate security of lives and property in the state.
Engineer Laosun said. “Security is the task of everyone and we are also aware that everybody has its roles to play in ensuring that lives and property are well secured.”
“Meanwhile, it is a statement of fact that the security of lives and property remains the thrust and core duty of every government. We salute the efforts of the immediate past administration in helping to improve the security architecture of the state to a certain level. We dare say that, allowing the state to slip back into the years of wanton killings, brigandage, destructions of property, violence, crimes and criminalities will be the greatest betrayal of trust on the part of the government to the people”
Engineer Laosun however called on the ” newly inaugurated administration to do all within its powers to ensure that all loopholes are blocked in ensuring that the people of the state can sleep with their two eyes closed. It should go beyond political promises. Despite the boasting and efforts of the immediate past administration, many lives and properties were lost in ‘unnecessary and unimaginable’ situations”
