Former Governor of Oyo State, Otunba Adebayo Alao Akala has explained why he rejected the Senatorial ticket offer of the All Progressives Congress, APC.
The former governor stated this when he featured on a live Fresh FM Radio programme in Ibadan on Saturday.
He said he rejected the offer because his people want him to run for governor and not a Senatorial seat.
“I rejected it because the people who want me in politics did not ask me to go the Senate. They asked me to run as governor. If tomorrow, they want me in the Senate, I will do as I am asked. I am not alone in politics. In fact, it is cheaper for me to run for a senatorial seat.”
He reiterated that he is fit, tested and trusted to succeed Abiola Ajimobi as Oyo governor.
