The All Progressives Congress APC, has postponed today’s Senatorial and House of Representative primaries over logistics issues.
Sources within the party told Insideoyo.com on Tuesday, that the postponement was as a result of delays from the national office in Abuja.
At 2pm, the National Working Committee released the list of cleared aspirants in the state.
According to reports, in Iseyin, Moniya and Ibadan North venue for the Oyo North, Central and South primaries, party men, supporters and delegates were stranded as there was no election materials in place.
Bigwigs fighting for the Senatorial tickets include incumbent Governor, Senator Abiola Ajimobi against Dr. Fola Akinosun (South); while aspirants in Oyo Central are Senator Teslim Folarin; Hon. Temitope Olatoye Sugar and the Commissioner for Local Government, Chieftaincy affairs, Mr. Bimbo Kolade, Engr Faozey Oladotun, Mr Oyedemi Wakil Oyeleru and Hon. Oluokun George Akintola
While in Oyo North senatorial district, Senator AbdulaFatai Buhari is the only aspirant that obtained the party’s form and was cleared.
