Governorship candidate of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Oyo State, Engineer Seyi Makinde has promised that his government would establish tertiary institution in Iseyin, Oke-Ogun area if voted in.
Radio Nigeria reports that he said this at the palace of Aseyin of Iseyin, Oba Abdul Ganiy Adekunle Ologunebi in continuation of his campaign and consultation to stakeholders.
While emphasizing the significance of education, Mr Makinde said he would fulfill the pledge for admission seekers to have access to quality education.
Mr Makinde therefore enjoined the electorate not to sell their votes so as to elect credible leaders.
While canvassing votes for the PDP candidates, Mr Makinde maintained that votes for PDP is for good governance and transparency.
“If you sell your vote, it means you have sell your conscience, definitely they will bring money, even if they give you ten thousand, the money can not last more a week ”
In a remark, Aseyin of iseyin, Oba Abdul Ganiy Ologunebi task the politicians in the state on peaceful election.
Earlier, Alado of Ado-Awaye, Oba Ademola Folakanmi, who applauded PDP for picking House of Assembly candidate from the town, intimated the party with the power outage the community had been battling with in the past six months.
On the entourage of the Mr Seyi Makinde campaign train was his deputy governorship candidate, Mr Rauf Olaniyan, former Minister for Sports,Professor Taoheed Adedoja, PDP Chairman in Oyo State, Alhaji Kunmi Mustapha, Alhaji Bose Adedibu ,and Director General, Seyi Makinde Campaign Organisation, Chief Bayo Lawal.
