A Civil /Structural Engineer, Engr. Oyedele Hakeem Alao has emerged as gubernatorial candidate of Alliance for Democracy for 2019 general elections.
In a peacefully conducted party’s primaries held at the famous Greenspring Hotel, Old Ife Road, Ibadan, Engr Alao was unanimously elected by the delegates after his co-contender did not show up for the primary.
While addressing newsmen at the end of the primary, the Gubernatorial Candidate appreciate the delegates, party leaders and distinguished members for finding him worthy of flying the ticket of the party in the forthcoming 2019 governorship election in Oyo State.
“On behalf of the leadership of our party at the National, State, Local Governments and Wards level, I sincerely accept this victory and I am assuring our teeming members a great outing in 2019 elections.”
“As we rise from this venue, let us tell our neighbors and let our neighbors tell their neighbors that Alliance for Democracy is back and AD is alive.”
“It is not yet Uhuru until we are able to give APC, PDP and ADC a run for their money. The coming elections is between good and bad, the oppressors and the oppressed, the conservatives and the progressives. Do not be disturbed or distracted. We have all it takes to be victorious at the poll. Let us go out and preach the gospel of Redemption ; Irapada”
Candidates of the party for state and National Assembly positions were also ratified. Among whom is Hon. Mutiu Mosaderin and Sunday Olumuyiwa Adewale who emerged as Candidates for Ibadan Northeast Constituency 2 and Oyo Central Senatorial District respectively
