Determined to consolidate on his popularity, especially in his Ogbomoso base, former governor Adebayo Alao-Akala has continued to meet some of his former lieutenants, who worked with him during his days in the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
Alao-Akala, now of the All Progressives Congress, APC, last week met the only PDP Reps member from Oyo State, Hon. Olusegun Odebunmi.
The former governor was said to have capitalised on the displeasure of the lawmaker with his party.
Bunvic, as the lawmaker who represents Ogo-Oluwa/Surulere federal constituency is fondly called, is unhappy with the composition of the caretaker committee of the PDP, especially in his local government of Surulere.
Being the only PDP surviving political office holder from the state , he believes that he should have been considered for the membership of the caretaker committee.
It was learnt that a former senator, Ayo Adeseun, who is from the same council like the Oko-born, was considered.
Wanting to win many people to his sides, Alao-Akala met with Bunvic, who was a chairman during his reign as governor.
According to sources, ‘the meeting was successful as the lawmaker would join the former governor in APC’ .
