Few days after he was listed as the representative of Oorelope local government in the caretaker committee of the Oyo State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, a former member of the House of Representatives, Lanre Agoro, has opted out of the party.
In 2015, Agoro contested Irepo /Oorelope /Olorunsogo federal constituency seat under the Labour Party, LP, won by Bosun Oladele of the All Progressives Congress, APC.
It is, however, unsure whether the lawyer cum politician would remain in LP.
Sources disclosed that he has been replaced in the committee with another person from the council area.
Agoro, it was learnt, decided to opt out after most of his loyalists expressed their displeasure with the move to the party.
Before the coming together of old PDP war horses, Agoro was rumoured to be nursing the ambition of deputising Seyi Makinde of the then Social Democratic Party, PDP.
Insideoyo.com was unable to get Agoro to talk on the matter.
Another source revealed that the move cannot be disconnected from the decision of former governor Adebayo Alao-Akala to remain in the APC.
