Serial entrepreneur and CEO of Nairabet, Oloye Akin Alabi has announced plans to resign from the sports betting company to enable him concentrate on his political ambition ahead of 2019.
The Ibadan-born CEO will be running for a seat at the Egbeda/Ona Ara Federal Constituency under the platform of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
“In a few weeks, I will be resigning as CEO of NairaBET so I can fully concentrate on my campaign to contest for a seat in the House of Representatives.
“If I lose, my seat will be waiting for me at the head office. Politics is not a do or die affair.,“ he tweeted on Wednesday.

In April, the Nairabet CEO announced his intention to run for office in 2019. He had said he will be contesting for a seat in the Federal House of Representatives.

Recall that Akin Alabi contested the 2015 Egbeda-Ona Ara seat of the House of Representatives’ election under the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, unsuccessfully.
