The National Bureau Of Statistics (NBS) revealed this in its latest Poverty Index Report for 2019 released during the week after 10 years.
The report, InsideOyo.com gathered that Oyo state ranked fourth among the states with a low poverty rate, before Lagos (4.50), Delta (6.02), and Osun (9.32).

According to the Bureau, 40.1 percent of Nigeria’s total population was poor, meaning that an average of four out of 10 individuals in Nigeria have real per capita expenditures below N137, 430 per year.
This translates to over 82.9 million Nigerians who are considered poor by national standards.
