The Vice Chairman of Oorelope Local Government Area of Oyo State, Hon. Wasiu Adewale Babatunde, popularly known as Adua, has congratulated Barrister Ayobami Oluwaseun Ojo on his inauguration as the Oyo State Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning.
In a congratulatory message made available to journalists, Babatunde described Ojo’s appointment and inauguration as a well-deserved recognition of his competence, dedication to public service, and commitment to the development of Oyo State.
He expressed confidence that the new Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning would deploy his wealth of experience and expertise in advancing the economic vision of Governor Seyi Makinde’s administration and ensuring effective planning and implementation of developmental programmes across the state.
According to him, Ojo’s appointment is not only a personal achievement but also a source of pride to the people of Oke-Ogun and Oyo State as a whole.
“On behalf of the people of Oorelope Local Government, I warmly congratulate Barrister Ayobami Ojo on his inauguration as the Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning. His appointment is a testament to his hard work, capacity, and commitment to public service. I am confident that he will make significant contributions to the growth and development of our dear state,” Babatunde stated.
The vice chairman prayed for wisdom, strength, and divine guidance for the commissioner as he assumes the responsibility of overseeing the state’s budgetary and economic planning processes.
Recall that Governor Seyi Makinde had nominated Barrister Ayobami Ojo and Dr. Lateef Idowu Oyeleke for appointment as commissioners and forwarded their names to the Oyo State House of Assembly for screening and confirmation. The Assembly subsequently confirmed the nominees before their separate inauguration ceremonies.
Barrister Ayobami Ojo was thereafter sworn in and assigned the portfolio of Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning, a ministry responsible for coordinating the state’s economic development strategies, budget preparation, and policy planning.
