As farming season approaches, the Caretaker Chairman of Oorelope Local Government, Igboho, Hon. Adesola Yaqub Tasoolo, has continued the grading and widening up of access roads across the 10 wards that made up the local government.
TASOOLO while giving updates on activities in Oorelope local government area also commended the Oyo State Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde for giving support to the local government caretaker chairmen and local council development areas sole administrators in the state.
According to him, the grading and widening up of access roads will reduce the pains of farmers and boost transportation of farm produce from rural areas to the metropolis.
He added that fixing of tractors and other farming tools are being done for farmers during this raining season to ease their farming activities.
His words: “Grading and widening up of access roads continue in Oorelope Local Government. This will go a long way to reduce the pains of our farmers and to boost transportation of farm produce from rural areas to the metropolis. The good job continues. Happy Democracy Day and God bless.”
TASOOLO also stated that with the support of Governor Seyi Makinde and State Primary Health Care Board, he has been able to kick start the rehabilitation of primary health care centers across the local government area.
Giving example of Iyaa Primary Health Care Centre which has been rehabilitated and equipped with drugs, he promised to touch other primary health care centers in the local government soon.
He also hinted that rehabilitation of boreholes will commence in earnest and it will cover a reasonable number of boreholes across the 10 wards in Oorelope local government area. He added that works are going on resolving inter-local government boundaries.
Aside that, he said plans are on going, for the installation of solar-powered street light to enhance safety and security of lives and properties of the good people.
While concluding, he thanked the good people of Oorelope for their support, cooperation. He urged them to continue abiding by the guidelines towards containing the Covid-19 by the Oyo State Government and the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).
