Lanlate Progressive Forum in Home and Diaspora has called on the Executive Governor of Oyo state, Sen. Abiola Ajimobi to respect the rule of law and implement the State High Court judgement on Onilala stool tussle.
Recall that InsideOyo.com reported how the State High court sacked the Baale of Lanlate, Abdulateef Olawuyi Olagoke and reinstated Olusegun Bolawale Oladejo of the Oguntayi family.
In a release made available to InsideOyo.com which was signed by Tunde Adeyemi, President and Kunle Taiwo, Secretary, the group urged the state government to stop the allocating of beaded crown to Baale of Lanlate, Abdulateef Olawuyi Olagoke whom court has removed in a judgement of Oyo state high court.
It reads “Lanlate Progressive Forum in Home and Diaspora is calling on the Executive governor of Oyo state, Sen. Abiola Ajimobi to stop the allocating of beaded crown to Abdul Lateef Olagoke whom court has removed in a judgement of Oyo state high court on Oct 5th, 2018.
“We notice that rather than the state government to implement the judgement of the state high court by Hon. Justice B. A Taiwo, the government is conferring Obaship on whom is no more recognized by Law as the Baale of Lanlate.
“Lanlate progressive Forum is in line with the elders of our town Lanlate that the Oyo State government should follow the rule of Law and should not cause chaos in our peace loving Community.
The group also called on the Commissioner for Justice and other related offices to implement the judgement and not cause chaos in the peaceful community.
“We are using this medium to call on the Commissioner for Justice and Attorney General of the state, Oyo state Chief Judge, Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters in Oyo State and the Chairman Oyo State Council of Obas and Chiefs as a matter of urgency Advise the State Governor to respect the rule of Law and stop conferment of Obaship on Abdullateef Olagoke whom court has restrained from parading himself as Baale of Lanlate
“According to the judgement the rightful owner of the stool of Lanlate is Olusegun Bolawaye Oladejo of the Oguntayi ruling house of Lanlate and the government should restore him all all the rights, privileges and entitlement attached to the office. We are law abiding town don’t turn our town to a theater of war.”
