The Omo Ajorosun Club has extended its heartfelt condolences to Oyo State Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde, over the passing of his brother, Engineer Sunday Makinde.
In a statement signed by the Club’s President, Chief Sunday Gbenjo Oyekanmi and the Public Relations Officer, ESV Toyeshe Lawal, the club described the late Engineer Sunday Makinde as a great loss to the state and the nation at large.
“We are deeply saddened by the news of Engineer Sunday Makinde’s demise. Our thoughts and prayers are with Governor Seyi Makinde and the entire Makinde family during this difficult time,” the statement read.
The Club prayed for the repose of the soul of the departed and asked God to grant Governor Makinde and his family the fortitude to bear the loss.
Engineer Sunday Makinde died on Friday, January 24, 2025. He was aged 65. He is survived by siblings among whom is Governor Seyi Makinde, children and grandchildren.
