Chief Bisi Ilaka, former Chief of Staff to the Governor of Oyo State, has paid a heartfelt tribute to Dr. Victor Omololu Olunloyo, the late former Governor of Oyo State.
Dr. Olunloyo passed away on Sunday, leaving behind a legacy of intellectual brilliance and service to his community.
In a statement made available to newsmen by Kehinde Owolabi, aide on Digital Media and Communication to Chief Ilaka, he described Dr. Olunloyo as “a truly remarkable individual, a Kudeti-born scholar, a giant in every sense of the word, and an irreplaceable presence in the lives of those fortunate enough to know him. When Dr. Olunloyo was made, the mold was broken.”
Chief Ilaka cherished the moments they shared, often sitting at Dr. Olunloyo’s feet and learning from his vast reservoir of knowledge.
He said, “I will forever cherish the countless moments we shared, sitting at his feet and drinking deeply from the vast reservoir of knowledge this giant of a man possessed.”
Chief Ilaka highlighted Dr. Olunloyo’s influence, which extended beyond Oyo State and Southwestern Nigeria to the People’s Democratic Party, where his contributions were invaluable.
He noted, “His influence transcended the borders of Oyo State and South Western Nigeria; it extended to the People’s Democratic Party, where his contributions were invaluable.”
Chief Ilaka extended his heartfelt condolences to the Olunloyo family of Kudeti, Ibadan, and to all who had the privilege of knowing this exceptional individual.
He said, “I extend my most heartfelt condolences to the Olunloyo family of Kudeti, Ibadan, and to all who had the privilege of knowing this colossus of a man.”
