The Olugbon of Orile-Igbon, Oba Francis Olushola Alao, has expressed his heartfelt condolences to the Okere of Saki land, Oba Khalid Olabisi, over the sudden demise of his queen, Waliyat Olabisi.
The queen passed away on Tuesday, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and charity.
Oba Alao, who is also the Vice-Chairman of the Oyo State Council of Obas and Chiefs, described Queen Waliyat as a loving and humane individual who was deeply committed to the well-being of the people of Saki land.
He prayed for God’s comfort and strength for the royal family during this difficult time.
His words: “On behalf of the good people of Orile-Igbon and members of the Oyo State Council of Obas and Chiefs, I condole the Okere of Saki land, Oba Khalid Olabisi (Oyedepo III), over the passage of his queen, Waliyat Olabisi, on Tuesday.
“I received the news of her sudden passage with shock, and I am still struggling to come to terms with its reality.
“Queen Waliyat Olabisi was said to be loving, humane and charitable.
“My prayers are with Oba Olabisi and members of his immediate family. May God comfort the royal family and give them the fortitude to bear this painful loss.
“I also commiserate with the entire people of Saki land over this loss.
“The Oyo State Council of Obas and Chiefs is saddened with Queen Waliyat’s death. But we take solace in the good life she lived, her support for His Majesty and the love she showed to the people of Saki land which endeared her to them all. “
